The Senior Research Scientist provides scientific leadership across Riviera Labs’ Research and Development programmes. You will design and implement experimental and computational studies, guide collaborative projects with external partners, mentor junior scientists and help shape the company’s scientific roadmap.

  • Model Development – Design, build and validate computational models (using the
    proprietary NEXUS™ platform) that integrate molecular, cellular and clinical data.
  • Experimental Research – Plan and conduct in-vitro and in-vivo studies that inform
    model development and translational objectives.
  • Internal Collaboration – Work closely with biology, data-science and strategy teams to align research priorities and deliver milestones.
  • External Collaboration –
    o Represent Riviera Labs at scientific conferences and academic events.
    o Participate in collaborative meetings and site visits with research institutions,
    clinical teams and healthcare partners.
  • Scientific Communication – Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present
    findings at national and international forums.
  • Mentorship & Strategy – Supervise junior researchers, contribute to grant proposals and funding applications, and support continuous process improvement.
  • Ph.D. in Biology, Biophysics, Genetics, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering,
    Computational Biology or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of post-doctoral or industry experience leading independent research projects.
  • Strong foundation in molecular or cellular biology, genetics or structural biology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing multi-modal biological and clinical datasets
    (preference for transcriptomic, genomic and advanced imaging data).
  • Proven ability to develop, interpret and optimize research protocols and procedures.• Proficiency in Python and/or R, with experience in scientific computing and cloud-based pipelines.
  • Special consideration for candidates with AI coding expertise
  • Record of effective collaboration with academic researchers, clinical teams or healthcare providers.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Experience supervising interdisciplinary teams
  • Competitive base salary USD 130 000 – 150 000, commensurate with experience.
  • Performance bonus of up to 15 % of base salary.
